Corporate Social Responsibility
IIFCL is committed to being a responsible company and making a positive contribution to society and environment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). IIFCL as per the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy in place that has been duly approved by the Board of Directors and is closely linked with the principles of sustainable economic development.
Our CSR program aims to address the sustainability issues that are most relevant and can have the biggest impact. We have partnered with organizations including government departments, NGOs, and private companies, to broaden the coverage of our CSR programs around the nation.
Projects implemented under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of IIFCL have benefitted an approximately 77,500 people (of this, 41,184 are school going children) living in the backward areas of the nation. Presently, IIFCL reaches out to 24 states of India through its CSR and is committed to cover the remaining states and UTs.
IIFCL’s focus area under its CSR initiatives are to improve the sanitation facilities at schools and households, Solar powered home lighting and street lighting systems, Skill Development and employability of unemployed youths, conservation of national heritage, financial aid to BPL Cancer Patients and promotion of sports.
IIFCL has also contributed in Swachh Bharat Kosh, Clean Ganga Fund and Swachh Vidhayala Abhiyaan, which have received applauds and appreciation from Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI and Ministry of Finance, GoI.
